Musicians United for Ukraine

Concert in Old Church

Accent Network, a Portland social service charity oriented towards Slavic immigrants and refugees, presented a concert of classical and Ukrainian music at The Old Church Concert Hall to benefit medical relief supplies for Ukraine on March 26, 2022.
Oregon-based, nationally and internationally recognized artists add their voices in support of Ukraine and her struggle against Russia’s unjust and unprovoked aggression. The program features the music of hope, grief, and solace, including works by Ukrainian composers Mykola Lysenko, Miroslav Skoryk, and Elena Gnatovskaya.
All proceeds from ticket sales and donations raised go directly to Portland-based ACCENT NETWORK. These funds will support humanitarian assistance in impacted communities in Ukraine and surrounding regions, delivering medical supplies to displaced communities. Your support will allow doctors & medical personnel to continue their life-saving work in the war zone.
The concert is unique! Here’s a viewer review:
“Saturday evening, March 26, my wife and I attended a benefit concert for Accent Network given by Musicians United for Ukraine in The Old Church, an intimate concert venue. Accent Network is using proceeds and donations to provide medical supplies and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and surrounding areas supporting refugees who fled Ukraine due to the Russian attack on their country.
The evening featured the music of Ukrainian composers Lysenko, Skoryk, and Gnatovskaya, amongst others, highlighting the themes of hope, grief, and solace.
The musicianship was first rated with many performers from the Portland Opera. I listened in rapt attention to a lovely evening consisting of 2 hours of ever-changing music punctuated by an intermission in which the performers came out to mix with the audience. It was an extraordinary evening in which I learned that Portland has welcomed its first family of refugees, and they were in attendance.”
