Mentorship

The mentoring program brings together qualified and motivated mentors who can help our immigrants by assessing their skills, qualifications, and experience and provide information, advice, and guidance on how to look for a job and educate them about the culture of the US workplace that will help build a career plan.

The mentor supports the mentee in exploring their professional network, developing an understanding of the Canadian work culture, and fine-tuning their cover letters, resume, and interview skills. The mentor often acts as a source of encouragement and inspiration throughout the mentee’s employment search process. The mentor contributes approximately one hour per week over a minimum of three months to the partnership. However, typical mentorship relationships last longer.
