Donations overflowing for Ukraine humanitarian aid at Portland collection center.

By midday Saturday, Portland collection center was overflowing with clothes, food, medical supplies and other items.

Organizers of a donation drive for the people of Ukraine were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support this weekend

Saturday and Sunday, 9000 pounds of donations were sorted, packed, weighed and labelled, and that was only half of what had been received.

Currently organizers of a donation sending priority goods like first aid kits, painkillers and antibiotics, along with shelter-related supplies like tents, sleeping bags, air mattresses, flashlights and batteries.

The supplies will then send to Ukraine through Poland, and will ensure they are distributed by the appropriate humanitarian agencies on the ground.
