Immigrant and Refugee Assistance Program
All people deserve the right to build safe lives, especially in a new country. However, many immigrants encounter obstacles and prejudices when relocating, integrating, and assimilating into new communities.
Today, families are confronted with a rapidly changing landscape of immigration policies and the uncertainty that goes along with it. Immigrant and refugee communities are experiencing concerns about safety and barriers to accessing primary care, behavioral health services and community-based supports critical to helping them and their families thrive.
The Accent Network provides a variety of free support services to immigrants and refugees families arriving in Oregon, regardless of status, such as:
- The Application Form Assistance program.
- School enrollment assistance
- Workforce readiness tools including resume writing, digital literacy skills, and credentialing evaluation
- Financial Wellness Program
- Starting a business in Oregon
